Sue Anderson (Chief Financial Officer and Trustee)

B.Soc.Sc (SW) (Hons) UCT. Over 22 years at the New World Foundation, an Cape Town based urban and rural development NGO with a focus on economic empowerment. As deputy director, responsibility for financial management, grant-making, budget control and annual audits. Treasurer of the Board of the Friends of the Children’s Hospital Association (2008-2010. Trustee of the Social Change Assistance Trust (SCAT), a Cape Town based NGO for rural development work.

Wilma Van der Bijl (Trustee)

Pharmacology UCT (1985). Ongoing involvement with charitable organisations since winning the Miss South Africa title (1987). Since 2000, focus on raising awareness, funds and publicity for Cancer, in close collaboration with CANSA. Joined the Breatheasy at the Children’s Hospital in 2005 to assist with fundraising events.

Amanda Bloch

Amanda became involved with the Children’s Hospital Trust after her son, Zachary, was treated at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital for total kidney failure at the age of 8 months. Amanda is a dedicated philanthropist with a particular interest in child health issues. She is patron and board member of several nonprofit organisations, including the Children’s Hospital Trust. Amanda advisesvarious nonprofit organisations and corporates on governance, structures, planning and fundraising, as well as social investment. Amanda is also a co-author of Inyathelo’s ASK Toolkit, an Advancement and fundraising toolkit commissioned by the Western Cape Department of Social Development.
